Little Rock Police have taken eleven Central Arkansas residents into protective police custody after receiving a number of credible death threats from the Italian Mafia.

The reported hit came after a group of people forced an Italian friend, Joel DiPippa, to eat at Olive Garden on Saturday night. The people in the group say they received calls in the middle of the night between 11:30-2 a.m. from a mysterious voice with a strong Italian accent. One participant managed to record the call.

“What you did is unacceptable, the lowest form of shame,” the voice on the recording says. “I hope you are sleeping well tonight, because tomorrow night you will be sleeping with the fishes.”

Police are not releasing the names of the individuals in custody, but Rock City Times has managed to uncover a Facebook page related to the outing. All 109 members of the page, even those who did not attend, are urged to take extreme caution. “We are not taking any chances with this, we have been in touch with the FBI and they believe this is a highly credible threat” LRPD spokesperson Cassandra Davis tells us.

During the dinner Mr. DiPippa was forced to order the Tour of Italy dish from Olive Garden. The dish consist of three popular menu items that attempt to simulate Italian meals. The homemade lasagna, lightly breaded chicken parmigiana, and creamy fettuccine alfredo dish has been declared by the Italian Mafia as an abomination of italian cooking.

“I am not saying that we did order a hit on the people who forced one of our own to humiliate himself, but if we did it would be justified,” Silvio Dante, a spokes person for the American Italian Mafia, tells us. “There are some things you just don’t do. You don’t walk up to an Italian and quote the GodFather and you don’t make a real Italian eat at Olive Garden. Those people better take it to the mattresses.”

Police are urging residents to take extreme caution and report any individuals wearing fedoras and suits.
