A new study released today shows that over 6,500 Uninsured Americans have died from health related issues while sitting in front of their computer waiting on Healthcare.gov’s website to load.

The Health Insurance Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) is the critical component of the Affordable Healthcare act, aka Obamacare. The Health Insurance Marketplace allows individuals seeking health insurance to signup for insurance through the government at reduced rates. The study was commissioned by the Obama administration to explore the impact of the website’s issues since launching.

“We were shocked to see that a large number of Americans have died since the website’s launch on October 1st,” US Surgeon General Boris Lushniak says. “In most cases these individuals saw their computer lockup sometime during the application process. We began receiving reports of people dead after spending several days sitting in front of the computer. This has been widespread both in private homes and in coffee shops across America.”

A number of coffee shops and restaurants have begun refusing to allow individuals to work on the application while using their facility. Starbucks meanwhile started giving out free ebook downloads to popular home health remedy books for customers waiting on their application to load.
