LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Children’s Hospital today named 12-year-old Timmy Johnson Chief of Surgery.
“This totally rules,” said Timmy. “It’s, like, totally epic.”
Timmy’s promotion comes in the wake of Billy Smart’s resignation. Billy, who was the hospital’s lead surgeon for five years, is scheduled to begin high school in the fall. According to Billy, Timmy is the right man to take his place.
“Timmy is pretty rad,” Billy said.
Sally Small, chief administrator of the Children’s Hospital, said she expects a smooth transition.
“Timmy and Billy are not as gross as most boys,” she said. “But you didn’t hear that from me.”
