The Republican Convention Releases Portions of Donald Trump’s Acceptance Speech for Thursday Night

CLEVELAND — Officials within the Republican Party’s convention have released portions from the final draft of Donald Trump’s nomination acceptance speech for Thursday night.

The brief excerpt from the speech is intended both as a teaser, to help set the tone for the remainder of the convention now that Trump is officially elected as the party’s nominee, as well as to clear up confusion on possible plagiarism within the campaign’s speech writing.

“Donald is here to deliver a message of party unity, uniting us together for one cause moving forward,” Republican Convention chair Paul Ryan unenthusiastically tells us. “Also they want to reassure the American people that every word of their campaign speeches are original content. They put a lot of heart and a lot of thought into these messages to the people, and they want everyone to know that.”

The brief three paragraph message using 100% original content calls on all Americans and people around the world to join him in an epic battle against annihilation from Hillary Clinton. Below is the excerpt released from the convention.

“Good Evening. Earlier this week you joined others from around the world in nominating me as the Republican Party candidate for President. And you will be launching the largest political battle in the history of mankind.

‘Mankind.’ That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it’s fate that today is the Twenty First of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from annihilation from Hillary Clinton.

We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Twenty First of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!  We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!”

Again, the party would like to remind everyone that this is 100% original content within the speech. Moments later the ending to the speech was reportedly obtained and leaked by members of the Alaskan Republican delegation. While we cannot confirm the authenticity of the leak, it does fit with the tone of the officially released section.

Yes, I’ve heard. Kills men by the hundreds, and if he were here he’d consume the English with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse. I AM Donald Trump. And I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance of tyranny. You have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What would you do without freedom? Will you fight?

Aye, fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live — at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!!!

Trump will take the stage at the convention Thursday night. Despite many reports that his wife, Melania Trump, plagiarized portions of Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention speech, the campaign affirms that the speech is 100% original. In an official statement Mr. Trump says “Our speeches are original, stop asking. Hey, here is part of my speech. Hers is just as original as mine.”
