North Little Rock Announces Memorial Day Weekend Music Festival

The North Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau announced plans today for an upcoming music festival located exclusively on the north side of the river for this Memorial Day weekend.

The three-day music festival, Argenta Fest, will feature top music acts appearing across four stages from May 23rd to May 25th. Venues include two locations along the river front area, Verizon Arena, and a fourth stage set up on Main Street in the Argenta district.

“We wanted to establish a world-class music festival for the North Little Rock metro area,” Festival president John Roberts tells us. “Yes we are aware that there is something else going on in the area that weekend. We do not expect this to interfere with the over 50 crowd that visits the south side of the river during that weekend.  We have had availability on our calendars for the past couple of years in that time slot though, and we felt like it was the best time to hold this.”

Initial music acts announced include Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, Katie Perry, Daft Punk, Luke Bryan, Imagine Dragons, and Bruno Mars who agreed to move up his previously scheduled concert to play during Argenta Fest.

Tickets will available for $70 for a three-day pass, or $30 for single day passes. Three day passes include a wearable button designed by local artist that will allow entry into the festival for all three days.

“We realize the price is a bit higher than people are accustomed to paying for,” Roberts says. “If it is too much of a problem, feel free to go south with your grandmother and listen bands from her childhood. We are offering $10 off passes from participating local businesses, we felt it was better to support local and charge a bit more for higher quality entertainment.”

Discount passes are available at Mugs Cafe, The Joint, Crush Wine Bar, and Stone’s Throw Brewery.
